Welcome to Gulf Coast MakerCon 2024, where you can explore everything from 2D and 3D art to robotics, drones and mini-RC car
racing, check out STEM kits and projects, enjoy a Deconstruction Zone, and more! Gulf Coast MakerCon is being held at University Mall, in and around AMRoC Fab Lab, at 2154 University Mall. Check out the location map or this video for driving directions. The best entrance for MakerCon access is the northwest mall entrance.
NW entrance doors open at 10 am. Check out the food court in the mall for a variety of options, or the eateries out in front of the mall for more selections, including Portillos, Millers Ale House, Longhorn’s and more.

Most of the event is Browse and Play between the TechSports Center in the middle of the mall and the exhibitor hall through the west end of the mall, but there are a few scheduled activities, as follows:
Inside AMRoC Fab Lab
- Black Unicorn Education AI presentations at 10:30 am and 1 pm
- Young Innovators Challenge presentations 11 am
- Young Innovators Awards Presentation at 2 pm
In the TechSports Center (middle of the mall)
- Combat Robotics – fights start at 11 am
- My Tobbies Toys and Hobbies Mini Z RC Car Racing – ongoing
- Drone Experience – ongoing
- MakerCon Raffle Drawing – 4 pm
