Our next spotlight shines on Valley Girl Art. Valley Girl Art is Claire and Tammy (aka Hank) Valley. Claire designs and makes jewelry, as well as, designing and creating crochet clothes, stuffed animals and accessories. We asked them to tell us a bit about their work and what they’re bringing to MakerCon.
GCMC: What do you love most about what you make or do?
VGA: We love creating and seeing the joy that our art brings other people.
GCMC: What are you bringing to MakerCon?
VGA: Claire will be bringing handmade jewelry, crocheted clothing and accessories, and crocheted animals. Tammy will be bringing her collage pet portraits, small paintings, and greeting cards. Tammy has recently registered as an ambassador representative for the Wild Wonder Foundation. She will have zines about nature journaling provided by the Foundation and will also have a sign-up sheet for people who are interested in participating in a nature journaling group in the fall.
Please stop by to chat, make an Artist Trading Card, or paint a rock with us. We are always interested in interacting with people and finding out what else they would like to see from us in the future.
GCMC: Where can people learn more?
VGA: Visit us at our table, or check us out on Facebook, and on Instagram. The Mochatribe.com website is coming soon!
You can check out Valley Girl Art’s great offerings during Gulf Coast MakerCon on June 8, from 10 am to 5 pm. Click HERE to get your FREE tickets to attend Gulf Coast MakerCon!
