Find Me Auto Help joins us this year – a program developed by SME automotive professional Pam Oakes a 35 year veteran of the automotive industry, having served across the years as an automotive applications engineer, instructor/course developer (for several international companies), 609 instructor/test proctor, automotive business expert/strategist, 20-year original start-up shop owner/multiple auto business owner, ASE Master automotive, Collision & Medium/HD truck technician-trainer, Diesel Class 8 instructor, automotive author, syndicated radio host and automotive-consumer news media commentator.

But wait, there’s more! She also sits on the National Science Foundation’s National Council of Autonomous Technologies (NCAT) advisory board and SAE-International Active Safety ADAS Sensor Calibration Task Force committee voting member, and MACS executive board of directors.  And for fun? This four-generation automotive technician from the eastside of Detroit still “turns wrenches” for educational training, personal, and volunteer-basis.

To that end, Ms. Oakes brings one of her signature Car Care Clinics to MakerCon this year!  The class, which will be held at 11 am, just outside the Yuengling Draft Haus and Kitchen, our MakerCon 2025 venue,  is designed to empower car owners in managing their vehicle maintenance and repair experiences. Tailored for individuals without extensive automotive knowledge, and to help consumers navigate the often complex world of auto repairs.

Ms. Oakes will also be providing Hurricane Car Care guides and have a variety of automotive tech for MakerCon guest to explore.
